The SMARTT Network, based on a fee-for-service model requiring advanced database features, includes e-commerce functions and security reporting features to clients, integration into CRM software for electronic mailing campaigns, forums, and the ability to stream videos. In just over a year the SMARTT Network has grown to a member pool of over 1000 young professionals from both Western Wisconsin throughout the nation. - Parent Newsletter Sign-up Form (Parents receive newsletters pertaining to the age of their children)
Client's Goal
Establishing its foundation in Dunn County, Wis. in 1988, the Dunn County Partnership for Youth (DCPFY) is a collaborative community support organization focused on promoting safe and healthy environments for youth in the County. The organization's initial mission was to tackle alcohol and other drug-related challenges by coordinating and pooling resources to arrange efforts such as needs assessments, information sharing sessions and family or professional training seminars.
In the 20-plus years of its efforts, the DCFPY has expanded its boundaries to also incorporate violence prevention and many other family challenges. DCPFY seeks out and integrates input from a broad range of organizations in the County to provide the best available support programs as possible. These include educational groups such as school districts and UW Extension, public health and medical organizations, religious associations, law enforcement, and domestic support groups.
The DCPFY wanted to establish a presence on the internet via a website that would portray their broad mission and share their wealth of resources, but would also simplify the often challenging process of coordinating and communicating between their diverse group of members. The Partnership made some attempts to create a web locale, but they weren't Partnership-wide efforts, and thus didn't produce a web site that accurately reflected their offerings and capabilities.
ADC's Solution
The DCPFY contracted with ADC to architect and construct their new website. In addition to being information rich and intuitive to use, the site needed to serve as a place where Partnership members could access information about activities and happenings across the Partnership. Not only did this require a section to post items, such as meeting agendas and minutes or member announcements, but it also needed a system that facilitated pushing or sending administrative announcements quickly and easily to the membership.
Incorporating the experience of its talented site design and graphic design specialists, as well the expertise of its software engineers, ADC has developed a site that is appealing and easy to use, but contains the rich Partnership resources and communication tools that were requested. The site includes a Members-Only area where members can subscribe to receive messages from DCPFY administrators, notifications of meeting changes or calls for team action or input.
As part of the site's section that focuses on family education, ADC also provided a broadly adaptable class registration tool where the public could easily request a seat in one of the classes offered through Partnership members, such as UW Extension. In addition, the site also contains a community discussion forum that allows class attendees to extend their collaboration with class instructors and fellow students long after their classes have ended.
"ADC provided us with a website that reaches our diverse audiences and exceeds our expectations. They offered their services with professionalism and provided insightful input that helped us achieve the goals we had set out for a new website. Best of all, they did it on-time, stayed within our budget and they continue to support our needs."

Client's Goal
Down Syndrome Footprint (DSF) was established in 2009 and is based in Chippewa Falls, Wis. The company was launched with a vision of having a unique and universal image that would represent Down syndrome and develop awareness, empowerment and employment for individuals with Down syndrome.
As parents of a child with Down syndrome, Mike and Katia Hauser were reminiscing about their daughter's birth, and the doctor’s observation of the physical markers of Down syndrome, including the unique footprint. That conversation quickly became the vision for a company that would create awareness, empowerment and ultimately employment for individuals with Down syndrome, including their daughter, Annaliese.
ADC's Solution
ADC developed a website that combines a non-profit .org site with a for-profit .com site. The original website was developed using free online templates from Yahoo.com, as the business has evolved its owner, Katia Hauser, desired a new website with greater functionality. ADC’s graphic artist worked with DSF to develop a brand image for the new site and ADC’s talented web administrators successfully integrated a free, open-source e-commerce solution for the online store.
The main section of the new website provides information for those that have a need for support and resources about Down syndrome. The other side of the site is an online store where products packaged or produced by individuals with Down Syndrome are sold. DSF has the ability to edit both sections of the website via easy-to-use, open-source content management systems.
"As a new company we needed both a non-profit site and a storefront. Applied Data Consultants worked with us to establish a wonderful storefront and tied it to the theme of our main site. They were both professional and affordable giving us the same quality of local competitors at a fraction of the price. Thank you so much Applied Data Consultants for allowing a new company to get their feet off the ground while still looking like a top dollar site."

Client's Goal
With nearly one-third of the state of Nebraska’s citizen’s residing within the boundaries of Douglas County, there are over 500,000 residents that rely on the Douglas County Assessor and his staff to accurately value the county’s property and provide an efficient means of access to the public information they are charged to care for. Because of this responsibility to the public, the Douglas County Assessor decided it was time to refresh their website with more modern functionality and a new look and feel.
ADC's Solution
The ADC team worked diligently with the Assessor and his staff to design a new web site that not only had a cleaner appearance with increased functionality but to implement the changes without adversely affecting the 3,050 visitors to the site, each day. The Assessor’s new site was designed in an attractive, modern and easy to navigate format. County citizens are able to access a vast amount of information pertaining to the assessment of their properties via the website as well as look up property details using ADC’s tax parcel look-up web mapping service, WebGUIDE. With WebGUIDE, citizens are able to search for property records based on address, owner name, location, type of dwelling or neighborhood, as well as through interactive GIS mapping.
“At a recent GIS/CAMA conference, the Douglas County Nebraska Assessor’s web site (www.dcassessor.org [http://www.dcassessor.org]) was ranked as one of the best in the country. The rater noted that “we don’t read web pages, we scan them ….so we shouldn’t have to read how to use the site. The Douglas County Assessor’s site is fast and easy to use.”

Bloomer Rod and Gun ClubWeb Address
www.bloomerrodandgun.orgFeatures

- Content Management
Client's Goal
The Bloomer Rod and Gun Club is a non-profit club managed by a volunteer board. The board members change every two years with new elections held annually. With no permanent central control it was difficult for the over 600 club members to keep informed of upcoming events and activities. There was no permanent point of contact for news, events and information. The main communication tool used was a monthly newsletter, often published prior to finalization of event details. The one-page newsletter also had limited space available so items such as Range Rules and the Calendar of Events were usually omitted or published only once per year. The location of the clubhouse was also difficult for new members to find because internet map services did not show the correct location of the Rod and Gun Clubhouse.
ADC's Solution
ADC created a website that provided solutions to the Rod and Gun’s problems. The site, which has an appropriate outdoorsy feel to it, features a Google calendar for event information which is easily and regularly updated by leaders of the Club. Other features include a Membership Information page, Range/League page with rules for use and a map of club land, and other informational pages. Web pages on the site can also be easily updated by club board members thanks to a simple content management system. Additionally, ADC helped the Rod and Gun submit a location correction to Google and integrated the now accurate locational map into the website so members no longer have a problem finding the location of the rural clubhouse.
Participation in club activities has nearly doubled since the website went live and the site has helped the club draw members from as far away as adjacent states. Existing members have embraced the availability of newsletters online. The website also serves as an excellent source of available volunteer and community involvement projects.
“The new Rod & Gun website designed by Applied Data Consultants has been a tremendous asset to the club in just the short time it has gone live. We have decreased our mailing costs for the monthly newsletter with the online and email options available and at our most recent Outdoor 3-D archery shoot we increased participation by 25%.”

ADC's Solution for Counties
ADC can work with counties or departments within counties to create new websites, department pages or just update the look of a current site. ADC can created new looks from scratch or maintain the integrity of the current site that is already in place.
ADC provides search engine optimization (SEO) to all our website development clients. By utilizing Google Webmaster Tools, reports can be generated showing what drives traffic to the website, increasing site visibility. Google Analytics, a statistical tool for usage reports, will be incorporated into the site. This tool monitors statistics such as geography of the user, user loyalty, user operating system, browser, screen resolution, user connection speed, and the quantity of and specific pages viewed.
In addition to analytical tools and SEO, ADC has knowledge and experience with several non-proprietary website widgets that are easily embedded into our website designs. These include easily updateable calendars, two-way chat applications, audio/video players (i.e. YouTube, MP3, Flash, Streaming), applications (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn), open source e-commerce solutions for credit card payments, forms and other “widgets” (i.e. Calendars, Weather Stations) and more.
The ability to add permit and job applications, fine payment forms, and other form types can also be integrated into the site. In this way, citizens can save time and money with the ability to fill out and submit paperwork they might traditionally have to travel to the County Government Center to complete. ADC will work with the County to integrate all desired forms and e-commerce solutions into the website, giving citizens resources at their convenience. ADC also partners with companies that provide email news solutions, applications for mobilizing events and people, as well as survey and poll widgets to enhance the web pages we design.
ADC utilizes non-proprietary (open-source) applications and widgets whenever possible to save the client on annual license fees, reducing the initial cost along with annual maintenance and support costs.

KPE provides engineering, operations and management assistance. This wasn’t the first website for KPE; they wanted to modernize the look of their previous site and add some new functionality.
ADC's Solution
One of the challeges ADC faced in designing and programming KPE’s new site was a very short time frame; their hosting contract was expiring in less than a month and it needed to be pushed live before it expired. A few highlights of their new website include: a rotating project gallery to highlight completed projects and experiences; an accordion-style collapsible/expandable menu page; and, a “contact us” form.
“We had an excellent experience working with Applied Data as they created our website. Everyone we worked with was friendly, professional and efficient. They were aware of our deadline and we frequently found that they worked late into the evening to ensure that our deadline was met. We were impressed with the suggestions they offered and the turn-around time for our change requests. Thanks Applied Data!”

There are previews of the books on his site so you can view an excerpt from the book and proceed to a local online bookstore to purchase. A portion of the proceeds from every book sold is being donated to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
“While searching for professional assistance in constructing a website to represent my self-published children's adventure books, I had the great fortune of receiving a valuable referral to Applied Data Consultants. I was informed that they do small projects for a reasonable cost as a service to the community. Not only did ADC construct a stunning website for me, they also offered to do the cover art for the books. Even more, when my sketch artist failed to produce the chapter art I wanted, Jamie offered to do that as well!
I was pleasantly surprised at how much time and effort was focused on my small project, and even more pleased with the excellent quality of the work at such an affordable price. I can state without reservation that the folks at ADC are great to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone needing top-notch professional assistance with their projects.
